The Austrian was referring to the significant performance difference of the RB20 this weekend. When asked if he had anticipated Verstappen’s fastest time in the qualifiers, he replied, “No, but I also didn’t expect us to be so slow on Friday. It’s two extremes.”
The turnaround can be attributed to modifications made to the car. “But also the way we warmed up the tires,” Marko added.
