The FIA and Formula 1 have announced the F1 calendar for 2025. Next year, there will be 24 race weekends on the schedule. Not much has changed compared to the current season. The most significant change is that the Australian Grand Prix will once again have the honor of opening the year. Melbourne will kick off on March 16, and Abu Dhabi will ring in the end on December 7.
The F1 calendar for 2025 does not differ significantly from the current season. For instance, no new races have been added; Formula 1 will visit the same locations as this year. However, the order has been shuffled. The season will open with a race at the Albert Park Circuit during the Australian Grand Prix. Since 2020, Bahrain had been the setting for the first race of the year. To accommodate the Ramadan period this year, the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been moved to a later date.
The Grand Prix at Zandvoort is scheduled for the weekend of August 31. Furthermore, in 2025, we will have three triple-headers, three weeks in which races are held consecutively. The Las Vegas race – which will be run for the third time in 2025 – is the only competition that will be fought out on a Saturday.
