Haas driver Oliver Bearman will start the Australian GP from the pit lane on Sunday after the team made adjustments to his car’s suspension. The British driver is already having a very challenging weekend. He crashed during the first free practice on Friday and repeated the incident during the third practice the following day. During the qualifying round, he encountered a mechanical problem and did not set a time.

Bearman admitted that his mistakes during the practices were clumsy. “It’s an unforgiving circuit and two seemingly small errors had big consequences for me. It was clumsiness on my part to make these mistakes. This was not good enough,” said the 19-year-old Brit.

However, he remains hopeful. “We have a long season ahead, I’m not going to worry about two days in a very long season.”

The Australian Grand Prix starts at 05:00 Dutch time, which is 03:00 UTC.
