Starting this season and for “several years” to come, the German brand makes its debut in F1 as the equipment supplier for the Mercedes team, marking a first in its history.
In the midst of a resurgence since the return of Norwegian Björn Gulden to its helm, Adidas kicks off 2025 with a historic turn. The German equipment supplier has partnered with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team, making its entrance into the world of Formula 1. This “multi-year” partnership, effective from the 2025 season, involves the design and production of a complete line (clothing, shoes, and accessories) for the entire team, including drivers, mechanics, and engineers.
“Several limited edition releases are also planned throughout the year,” adds the equipment supplier, seeking to leverage the popularity of F1 to reach new consumers. For the Mercedes team, which was still outfitted by Puma and Tommy Hilfiger last season, this partnership between German brands also represents a major change, following Lewis Hamilton‘s departure to Ferrari.
