Alpine has bolstered its Formula 1 team with several new engineers. The French team started the current season with a subpar car and scoreless races, but has since been on the rise. The entire technical staff underwent a revamp, which seems to be bearing fruit. In a final push to catch up with the competition, Alpine has recruited former technicians from Ferrari and Red Bull.

According to BBC Sport, the new additions are three engineers, each of whom will play a crucial role in Alpine’s technical organization. A spokesperson has expressed the team’s satisfaction with the new recruits. “We continue to streamline and improve our technical staff,” says Alpine. “We focus on three key pillars: aerodynamics, performance, and engineering. As we focus on the long road to the forefront of Formula 1, our team is gaining more and more potential.”

Alpine F1 Team Welcomes New Members

Michael Broadhurst, previously from Red Bull, has joined the Alpine F1 team as the head of aerodynamics. Broadhurst has prior experience working with the McLaren Formula 1 team. Vin Dhanani, another former Red Bull engineer, has been appointed as the head of vehicle performance at Alpine. Jacopo Fantoni, who was recently associated with Ferrari, is now the deputy chief engineer in Enstone.

Impact of New Appointments

The changes are linked to David Sanchez, the Frenchman who was appointed as technical director earlier this year. According to experts, Sanchez has played a significant role in the growth Alpine has experienced in recent races. The French racing team has consistently scored points in the last four Grand Prix and currently ranks eighth in the constructors’ championship.
