Aston Martin is undergoing a restructuring of its senior management team, the racing team announced on Friday. Andy Cowell is immediately appointed as the new team boss, while former team boss Mike Krack assumes the role of Chief Trackside Officer.

The British team hopes that this restructuring will be a significant step towards winning a championship. Cowell now holds the dual role of CEO and team boss of Aston Martin, aiming to increase transparency within the racing team.

In addition, the departments for aerodynamics, engineering, and performance will be separated. Alongside Krack, Enrico Cardile also assumes a new role. He becomes the new Chief Technical Officer, overseeing the architecture, design, and construction of the new cars.

A Team That Wins the Championship

“I have spent the past three months understanding and assessing our performance, and I am incredibly impressed by the dedication, commitment, and hard work of this team,” responds the new team boss Cowell in the press release.

The Brit is therefore confident enough to set a goal for the British racing team. “With the completion of the AMR Technology Campus and our transition in 2026 to a full factory team, together with our strategic partners Honda and Aramco, we are on track to become a team that wins the championship. These organizational changes are a natural evolution of the multi-year plans we have laid out, and I am incredibly excited about the future,” concludes Cowell.
