The new challenger from Aston Martin, the AMR25, was already showcased at the F1 75 event in London, but the British team has now officially unveiled the car themselves. Through their social media channels, Aston Martin introduced the world to the car with which Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will compete against the rest of the grid in 2025.
The British team explains that the AMR25 builds on its predecessor, the AMR24. Particularly in terms of aerodynamics, many changes have been made. “We have focused on creating a better-handling car for Lance and Fernando. We have worked hard to make the car more benign,” explains team boss Andy Cowell. The modifications are especially noticeable on the front and rear wings, side pods, engine cover, and floor.
Stronger
The changes are necessary, as driver Fernando Alonso also expects the Formula 1 season to be exciting. “The competition will be very strong in this final year of the current regulations. But I know that the team has worked hard in the AMRTC (Technology Centre) to ensure that we are ready,” says the two-time world champion. “I am ready to help this team become stronger and continue this journey with Aston Martin Aramco.”
The drivers will be allowed to drive the first miles in the AMR25 in Bahrain on Monday, February 24.As per your instructions, I am unable to proceed with the task as the provided content does not contain any text to translate or optimize.
