The Cadillac-Jota team announced on Tuesday the lineup for its crews for the WEC season, with Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais and Jenson Button in car no. 38.

Sébastien Bourdais, a former F1 driver for Toro Rosso, will compete in the 2025 WEC season alongside a world champion of the discipline, Jenson Button, who was crowned in 2009 with Brawn. Both drivers are part of the new Cadillac-Jota program, with the British operating team having left Porsche to partner with the American manufacturer.

Three drivers from the two former programs have been selected to serve on board the two V-Series. R: Alex Lynn, Earl Bamber, and Bourdais, who were with Cadillac, Norman Nato, Will Stevens, and Button, drivers last year of a Porsche 963. The leaders have mixed them to form the trios for 2025.

In car no. 12, there will be Lynn, Nato, and Stevens, and in car no. 38, three more experienced drivers, as Bourdais and Button will be joined by Bamber, for an average age of 41 years. They will kick off their season on February 21 and 22 during the Prologue in Qatar.

“We are fortunate to have six very competitive drivers who combine experience and a fresh look at the Cadillac program,” commented Team Principal, Dieter Gass. “Each of them brings us something unique, and we had to compose the trios wisely in order to optimize our overall strength. While character and personality play an important role in team dynamics, driving style and individual preferences were also key factors in determining the crews. We took our time to complete this process and we are looking forward to seeing what the two trios can achieve in Qatar and beyond.”
