Charles Leclerc offers advice to Oliver Bearman, who is set to debut with Haas next year. Both drivers share a common background, having emerged from Ferrari’s training program. Leclerc emphasizes that Bearman should not be afraid to make mistakes, especially at the start of his career. “Don’t put too much pressure on yourself,” advises the Monegasque driver.

Earlier this year, Leclerc and Bearman were teammates. During the race weekend in Saudi Arabia, the then 18-year-old Brit had the opportunity to call himself a Ferrari driver for two days. Bearman stepped in for Carlos Sainz, who was suffering from appendicitis. After his impressive performance in Jeddah, the Formula 2 driver had a few stints with Haas. The American team entrusted him with several free training sessions. He has now secured a multi-year contract with Haas.

Charles Leclerc Praises Bearman’s Talent

“I believe Bearman is an incredibly talented driver,” Leclerc commented during the race weekend in Silverstone. “He is ready for Formula 1 in any case. In Jeddah, he already demonstrated that he was well-prepared – he was actually very strong right away. If I were to give him any advice, I would tell him not to put too much pressure on himself. He is still very young, but he has the speed. He has shown this several times.”

Leclerc’s Advice for Bearman

“He has not had an easy season in Formula 2, but that is mainly due to the team,” Leclerc explained. “Bearman is incredibly fast and I have no doubt that he will be excellent in Formula 1. He just needs to take his time, make mistakes, and learn to become a better driver. As long as he does not put pressure on himself, because then you lose your potential.”
