The saga surrounding Christian Horner is not yet over. Over a year ago, it came to light that the Red Bull team boss was accused of inappropriate behavior towards a Red Bull employee. Horner was exonerated twice after internal investigations by Red Bull, but the employee has now taken the case to the British employment tribunal.
The case came to light in February 2024, when Red Bull officially confirmed that an independent investigation had been launched into team boss Christian Horner in connection with inappropriate behavior. Even before the start of the Formula 1 season, the Brit, who has always denied the allegations, was exonerated. The employee, who had since been suspended, appealed, but Horner was again exonerated in August.
The employee threatened last year to take the case to the employment tribunal, and has now indeed taken these next steps. According to De Telegraaf, the Horner case will go before the employment tribunal in January 2026, also known as the employment tribunal in England, where disputes between employers and employees are handled. Unless the two parties reach a settlement before January 2026, the case will be handled by the employment tribunal.
