The commemoration of Senna during the race weekend at Interlagos is intended to keep his memory alive.
Iconic McLaren Returns to the Track
One of the highlights of the commemoration is the return of the iconic McLaren MP4/5B. This legendary car, in which Senna won his third world title in 1990, will once again hit the track for a number of demonstration laps. Honda and McLaren have joined forces to get this historic car running again, allowing fans in Brazil to enjoy a piece of Formula 1 history. The driver for these honorary laps will be announced later.

Continuation of Previous Commemorations
This tribute in Brazil follows a series of other events this year in which Senna has been commemorated. During the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix earlier this season, Sebastian Vettel drove a few honorary laps in another historic McLaren of Senna. McLaren itself also contributed to the commemoration during the Monaco Grand Prix by using a special livery inspired by the legend.
