The FIA recently came under fire for its stance against foul language among drivers. Both Max Verstappen and rally driver Sébastien Ogier were reprimanded. “Absolutely ridiculous,” reporter Frank Woestenburg opines in the podcast Formula 1 Paddock Talk.
“In my opinion, the chairman of the FIA should be given a community service sentence. He also claimed that the FIA gets too little credit, but I think it’s entirely justified that they are now under heavy fire for all the measures they are taking,” says Woestenburg.
“It’s tricky, because Hamilton is also putting pressure on the whole case by involving racism. At some point, you can’t say anything anymore,” adds driver Jeroen Bleekemolen. “On the other hand, it’s also nice that the drivers are bouncing it back to the FIA.”
