Dan Fallows is stepping down from his role as Technical Director of Aston Martin, with the British engineer set to leave the team this month. Fallows joined from Red Bull at the start of 2022 and played a key role in the team’s early success last season. His departure means he will miss a reunion with Red Bull designer Adrian Newey. His future plans remain unclear, although he will remain associated with Aston Martin.
In an official press release, Aston Martin announced that Dan Fallows will take on a new role within the organization. It is speculated that he will be involved in the production of the British luxury brand’s road cars in the future. CEO Andy Cowell thanked Fallows for his contribution to the Formula 1 team. “Aston Martin is very grateful to Dan for his contribution,” he said. “He led the success of the AMR23, the car that brought us to the podium eight times last year.”
Aerodynamics Expert
“During my time at Aston Martin, I have enjoyed all the challenges this team wants to take on,” said Dan Fallows about his departure. “The team is determined to win both races and championships. I now have to pass the baton, but I look forward to Aston Martin’s successful future. It can’t be long now,” he assured in conclusion.
Dan Fallows entered Formula 1 in 2006 with the then fledgling Red Bull. As an aerodynamics expert, he quickly became an important engineer within the team. Thanks in part to Fallows, the Austrian racing team grew into a dominant force in the sport. In 2021, it was announced that he would transfer to Lawrence Stroll’s Aston Martin. After disagreements over the so-called ‘gardening leave’, he started working in Silverstone in April 2022.
