The Alpine F1 Academy team has strengthened its ranks with Dutch driver Nina Gademan. The 21-year-old racer from Wijster will be on the grid from 2025. Gademan is, after Maya Weug and Emely de Heus, the third Dutch participant in the women’s racing class. She succeeds British driver Abbi Pulling, who became champion this season.
After her time in karting and touring car classes, Nina Gademan competed in the British Formula 4 Championship for the first time this year. In addition, she made her debut in the F1 Academy; at the end of August, she was allowed to participate as a Wild Card in the races at the Zandvoort circuit. In both races, she finished in the points, with an impressive fourth place in race 1 and a tenth place in race 2.
“I am incredibly proud to represent the Alpine Formula 1 team in the 2025 F1 Academy season,” Gademan responded via an official press release. “This is a moment I once thought would never come – so it really is a dream come true. The support of a team with such an incredible history means everything to me. I am very grateful for Alpine’s trust and can’t wait to start an unforgettable new chapter in 2025.”
Formula Winter Series
Team boss Oliver Oakes is also delighted about the collaboration between Alpine and Nina Gademan. “It was wonderful to see her transition to single-seaters at the start of 2024 and score points during her F1 Academy debut at Zandvoort,” he said. “We are curious to see what she can do next year. Nina will be a fantastic addition to our lineup of young drivers, and we look forward to working with her in 2025.”
Prior to her season start in the F1 Academy, Nina will participate in the Formula Winter Series with Hitech GP. This racing series runs from January 30 to March 9. She will visit Portimão, Valencia, and Aragón, before closing the season in Barcelona.
