The United States Grand Prix is just around the corner! After an extended break, Formula 1 is gearing up for a new triple header, kicking off with a race on American soil. The Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, also sets the stage for the fourth sprint weekend of the year. The weather forecast for the United States Grand Prix looks promising, although there might be a few drops during the sprint race.

This weekend, Formula 1 lands on the Texan asphalt for the one and only United States Grand Prix. Thanks to the growing popularity of the sport among the American population, there have been three races held in the ‘land of the free‘ since 2023. A race was already held in Miami in May, and the sport will return to the US at the end of November for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

For many, the race at the Circuit of the Americas remains the most important of the three. Since 2012, the track near Austin has been a regular fixture for Formula 1, with the exception of the 2020 season due to the pandemic. This weekend, there’s extra racing action on the schedule. On Saturday, a sprint race will be organized for the fourth time this year.

United States Grand Prix Weather Forecast

The weather predictions are favorable for now. It’s going to be quite warm throughout the weekend, with temperatures rising up to 29 degrees Celsius. On Friday, when the only free practice and the sprint shootout are scheduled, the sun will shine and it will remain dry throughout the day. A gentle southeast wind will make the temperature feel around 28 degrees Celsius, cooling down to about 25 degrees in the evening.

The sprint race and the regular qualification will take place on Saturday. There might be a few drops during the day; the current chance of precipitation is around 55%. It will remain pleasantly warm on and around the circuit, with temperatures up to 27 degrees. During the main race on Sunday, it will likely stay dry, although it will be a bit cloudier. The temperature will not exceed 28 degrees Celsius.
