In early May, Red Bull announced that Adrian Newey, the celebrated aerodynamics expert, will be leaving the team in 2025. With his cars, Newey has won multiple championships, making him a sought-after technician in the sport. Almost all top teams are trying to woo the 65-year-old Brit, including Aston Martin, who recently invited him to visit their factory at the behest of Lawrence Stroll.

Adrian Newey is in high demand. The engineer, who was instrumental in the success of Red Bull, will be free to join a new team from 2025. For a long time, Ferrari was the main destination – Newey has admitted several times that he would like to sign for the Scuderia. However, no deal has been struck yet. It is reported that Newey is now considering a collaboration with Aston Martin.

Invited by the big boss Lawrence Stroll, Newey was given a ‘secret’ private tour of the factory in Silverstone. It is known that Stroll wants to secure him for the British team at all costs. Aston Martin is making great strides to compete for the title in the future – a veteran like Adrian Newey could make all the difference.

Retirement?

Whether Newey will actually choose the British racing team remains to be seen. Ferrari and Mercedes have also made him substantial offers. There is always the possibility that the 65-year-old aerodynamics guru will enjoy a well-deserved retirement. His creations have already earned him twelve constructors’ championships and thirteen drivers’ titles. Red Bull and Max Verstappen are currently working hard to further expand that record.
