Haas has started 2025 on a high note, achieving a small milestone. For the first time in their history, the midfield team is conducting a Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) test, with new Haas drivers Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon set to participate.
The test days for Haas will take place at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain, a track that has not hosted Formula 1 races since the 1990s. Bearman and Ocon will be joined by Toyota GAZOO Racing driver Ritomo Miyata. Haas entered into a partnership with the Japanese Toyota last October.
During a Testing of Previous Cars test, Formula 1 teams are allowed to put their drivers in cars that are at least two years old. The drivers are then allowed to drive a thousand kilometers in the car, allowing, in the case of Bearman and Esteban Ocon, to get used to the vehicle. Rookie Bearman will kick off on Wednesday, January 15, followed by Miyata in the afternoon. Ocon will test on Thursday, January 16, again followed by Miyata. All three drivers will be driving the VF-23.
