The tension in the Formula 1 World Championship is slowly but surely reaching a boiling point. Max Verstappen’s lead over his closest competitor, Lando Norris (McLaren), is visibly shrinking, and the tension in the constructors’ championship is palpable. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku is crucial for the further course of both championships. Last year, Max Verstappen won the race in Baku, what can he achieve this year?
The Baku City Circuit, stretching over six kilometers and three meters, boasts 20 turns and is a whopping 13 meters wide at its broadest part. However, the circuit also features an extremely narrow section through the old city heart. The part that runs along the old twelfth-century city walls is particularly renowned, notably due to the crash of Charles Leclerc in 2019.
