Ayrton Senna and Max Verstappen shine in a new advertisement by Honda. Besides their immense talent for Formula 1 and winning multiple world championships, the two drivers share the screen from this weekend onwards. Both Senna and Verstappen have won multiple world titles in a car powered by a Honda engine.
The Brazilian driver accomplished this feat in 1988 in the legendary McLaren MP4/4. That year, Honda, in collaboration with McLaren and Senna, not only won the drivers’ and constructors’ titles, but the car also set the record for the highest winning percentage in a season. This record stood until the RB19, and Honda itself, broke it in 2023. Senna won the world title with a McLaren-Honda two more times, in 1990 and 1991.
Years after Senna’s victories, Honda decided to collaborate with Red Bull. This partnership has so far yielded three drivers’ titles for Max Verstappen and two constructors’ titles. From 2026, Honda will supply engines to Aston Martin, marking the end of the successful Red Bull collaboration.

Before that happens, Honda has created an advertisement featuring the successes of Senna and Verstappen, among others. In addition to the two world champions, other athletes and motorsports are showcased in the commercial, and a poem about chasing dreams is recited. Watch the full advertisement below:
