Charles Leclerc, renowned for his passion for motorsport and Ferrari, recently revealed another significant pastime on his Instagram page: indulging in ice cream. He has now transformed this hobby into a business venture by investing in his own gelato brand. Ice cream enthusiasts, take note: soon, you will be able to enjoy a scoop straight from Charles Leclerc’s factory in Italy.

Leclerc’s ice cream brand, named LEC, is introducing a range of low-calorie flavors to the market. As Formula 1 is a high-performance sport, Leclerc does not compromise on health for his mid-race snack. LEC offers flavors such as vanilla, salted caramel, pistachio, peanut caramel, and chocolate. However, those wishing to sample these delights will need to travel to Italy, as the brand is currently only available there.

The Ferrari driver initially planned to open his own ice cream shop in Monaco, but when approached by Italian ice cream giant Grom, he decided to think bigger. The launch in Italy is just the beginning for LEC. “I’m already working on new flavors for 2025, but in the meantime, we also aim to be available in French supermarkets by the end of this year,” the driver responded enthusiastically.

But will such a venture interfere with a Formula 1 driver’s career? “I would never have started this project alone,” Leclerc assured. “I don’t have enough time. 99 percent of my life is Formula 1, and my priority is to be the best driver.” His future teammate, Lewis Hamilton, has also recently started his own business, producing his own non-alcoholic liqueur. “We were just talking about it,” Leclerc laughed. “He (Hamilton) has a new drink, and I have my ice cream. So when he arrives at Ferrari, we will definitely celebrate with my ice cream and his drink.”
