Kevin Magnussen, the Danish driver for Haas, expressed his frustration over missing the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last week due to a suspension. He voiced his discontent upon his return to the paddock in Singapore.
In Baku, Magnussen had to hand over his car to Oliver Bearman, who finished in a respectable tenth place, scoring a point for Haas. The Danish veteran watched the race from his television. “I was working out on Sunday, with the TV on. So, I saw parts of the race. Besides that, it was mainly a nice, free weekend, bonus time with the family,” he said.
Magnussen’s one-race suspension followed an incident with Pierre Gasly in Monza, which resulted in the Dane accumulating 12 penalty points. He believes his suspension was unjust. “I love hard racing. The things we as drivers are sometimes punished for at the moment are ridiculous,” he stated.
