Max Verstappen Joins Elite Circle with Fourth Consecutive F1 World Title, Matching Prost and Vettel

Max Verstappen has climbed further up the ranks of the great champions in Formula 1 with his fourth consecutive world title. Verstappen’s achievement equals that of Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel. Only Juan Manuel Fangio (five), Michael Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton (seven) have won the world championship more than four times.

Like Max Verstappen, Vettel won all his world titles while racing for Red Bull Racing, with Christian Horner as team principal and Adrian Newey as designer. Vettel was successful in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Prost secured his world titles in 1985, 1986, 1989, and 1993.
