Many consider Max Verstappen to already be among the greatest drivers in history, such as Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton. But who does he most resemble in terms of driving style? “Verstappen is a Schumi 2.0,” says Frank Woestenburg.
“Verstappen is more like Schumacher. A jerk on the track, ruthless and capable of doing anything to win. Hamilton, like Max, is a pure racer, but when it comes to the killer instinct, he leans more towards Schumacher,” Woestenburg says.
“He might well be an evolved Schumacher,” adds Jeroen Bleekemolen. “Because Schumacher sometimes did certain things too conspicuously, which got him penalized, but Max usually gets away with it. He’s a step further, but that’s also evolution.”
