The British Grand Prix marks the end of the season’s first triple-header. The first two stops in the European trilogy earned Max Verstappen good points, although he hasn’t always been able to maximize his performance. Lando Norris and McLaren have proven to be formidable opponents, always in contention for the win. Verstappen looks forward to the weekend in Great Britain and a ‘special race’ at Silverstone.
Several Things Went Wrong
“It’s another home race for the team,” says Verstappen, who is aware that the Red Bull factory in Milton Keynes is less than an hour’s drive from the circuit. “Let’s hope we can make everyone there proud. We didn’t achieve the desired results in Austria, but we learned a lot; there’s plenty to analyze and improve. A number of things went wrong during the race, but we can draw strength from the sprint race and the two qualifications.”
Great Britain: The Last Stop of a Busy Triple-Header
“Great Britain is the last stop of a very busy triple-header,” Verstappen continues. “We want to put up a new fight here. It’s going to be a special race, with a unique livery on the car. It’s the twentieth time we’re racing at Silverstone, so we definitely have something to celebrate.” In addition to a special color scheme, Red Bull also wants to introduce a number of upgrades to the RB20. The Austrians are leaving nothing to chance on the British track.
