McLaren is primed and ready for the final six races of the season. The team has used the break before the United States Grand Prix to prepare for a fight for both world titles, and to launch a final assault on Red Bull driver Max Verstappen for the driver’s title.

Currently leading the constructors’ championship with a 41-point advantage over closest competitor Red Bull, McLaren boasts the strongest car on the grid. This gives them the ambition to compete in the drivers’ championship. Therefore, McLaren will attempt a final attack on Red Bull driver Max Verstappen during the season’s closing stages.

Team boss Stella reveals that McLaren has effectively utilized the short break before the United States Grand Prix to prepare for the fight for the driver’s title. “After a few busy weeks in the factory to strengthen our championship campaign, we are now heading to Austin for the first of two triple headers,” Stella shares in the preview. “We are only six races away from the end of the season, but there are still many points up for grabs.”

Stella anticipates that the competition will remain fierce during the season’s final races, as many teams are coming up with updates. “As always, we keep our heads cool, focus on ourselves, and strive to consistently score points in our quest for both titles,” says the Italian team boss.

Pressure and Excitement

Lando Norris is currently Max Verstappen’s closest challenger for the world title. The driver is only 52 points behind the Dutchman and has therefore prepared himself for the upcoming title fight with Verstappen. “I spent some time in the MTC (McLaren Technology Centre) simulator to prepare for the upcoming triple header. The next two months will be incredibly busy, but also exciting.”
