The Mexican Grand Prix is one to quickly forget for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. With two time penalties of 10 seconds and a disappointing P6, it was far from the result the team had hoped for. However, Verstappen remains optimistic about the upcoming races and emphasizes the importance of improvement.
Quickly Forget Mexico
After the disappointment in Mexico, Red Bull is fully focused on analyzing what went wrong. “We know we can do better and are working hard to understand what went wrong,” Verstappen states in a Red Bull press release. “We must do everything to come back competitively and perform again at the level we know we can achieve.”
New Opportunity in Brazil
The upcoming weekend marks the last race of a long triple header on the schedule, in Brazil. For Verstappen and Red Bull, this means a new opportunity to score points. Although it will be a busy weekend with the sprint race on Saturday, Verstappen is looking forward to it. “Interlagos is a great track to race on,” says the Dutchman. “With all the elevation changes, it’s technically a challenging circuit, and of course, it has a lot of history. I’m looking forward to returning to Brazil and racing for the passionate fans there.”
With a focus on resolving the issues from Mexico and a strong performance in Brazil, Red Bull aims to end the season on a positive note. Verstappen and his team are doing everything they can to regain their form and fight for the last important points this season.
