We’ve arrived in Miami for the second sprint weekend of this F1 season. The weather promises to be pleasant this weekend, although there’s a slight chance of light rain during the sprint race. However, a dry race is forecasted for Sunday. Here’s the complete weather report for the 2024 Miami GP.

Friday, May 3: First Free Practice and Sprint Qualification

A sunny day is in store for the start of the Miami Grand Prix! It’s expected to stay dry, but a strong wind from the east is forecasted. According to the FIA weather report, this could even reach up to 40 km/h with possible gusts in the afternoon. During the first free practice and the sprint qualification, the temperature will be around 27/28°C. It’s going to be a warm day on the Miami circuit. The chance of rain remains surprisingly low at less than 20%.

Saturday, May 4: Sprint Race and Qualification

The sun will also shine over the Miami street circuit on Saturday. However, some cumulus clouds may form in the afternoon. There’s an increased chance of light rain in the early afternoon, but the expectation is no higher than 30%. During the sprint race, the mercury will hover around 27°C, and we can expect similar temperatures during the regular qualification.

Sunday, May 5: Race

On Sunday morning, we can expect partly cloudy skies over Miami, with a small chance of showers. According to the FIA weather report, this will clear up later in the day, and the sun will shine again. So, we’re expecting a dry race. As for the wind conditions, we can expect similar conditions to the previous days. During the race, the temperature will remain around 27°C, which is unlikely to cause any surprises.
