Christian Horner’s Rivalries in Drive to Survive

In Drive to Survive, Horner is seen engaging in verbal battles with Cyril Abiteboul and the tension between him and Toto Wolff is palpable. In recent years, the competition between Horner’s Red Bull and Wolff’s Mercedes has intensified, reaching a peak in the 2021 season.

Christian Horner’s Racing Career

Christian Horner was also a racer himself. In 1994, he drove for the Formula 3 team Fortec. After three years, he transitioned to Formula 3000, comparable to the current Formula 2, driving for Arden International, a team he founded. After two years of racing, he decided to retire and take full control of the team. After six years and three driver titles in Formula 3000, Christian Horner made the move to Red Bull Racing.

Christian Horner’s Success with Red Bull Racing

He won four driver titles with Sebastian Vettel and clinched the constructor’s title in all those years. Since 2016, he has been the team principal for Max Verstappen. In 2021, thanks to Verstappen, Horner won the driver’s title with Red Bull, but had to concede the constructor’s crown to rival Mercedes and Toto Wolff. In 2022, he clinched both titles with Max Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Pérez, with the driver’s title once again going to Verstappen.
